James ran a small grocery store  He died at a very young age of a heart attack.  Catherine raised the children by herself. They were very poor and lived off of social security. All the children became very successful and dedicated their lives to public service.

Mary Catherine married a man named Dwyer.

"Bobby Carey was a nuclear submarine captain and then went on to work for the
Veterans Administration.  I believe their mother was a McDonald.  I was in
Girardville for my 50th class reunion in  1993 and she came up to us at mass
and introduced herself. "
