Margaret Connors used to visit the Grady's. She was around the age of one of the younger children, Rosemary. She recalled that Uncle John was a very intelligent man. He always seem to have a hard time finding a job, these were hard times doing that period of history,  but they always seem very happy and could make do with just about anything.. Aunt Mary, she recalled could make a great meal out of nothing. She was a wonderful cook. This photo was found with Rosemary in it,  in  Margaret's  belongs.

She really enjoyed visting her 1st cousin Rosemary and recalls the family with very happy fond memories.

Mr. Grady who has received a certificate from the bureau of  mines for first aid inspector is now busily engaged at Giradville High School teaching first aid to the employess of Hammond Colliery.
