Story says "Terrance and the mother of Agnes never got married. The Mother was very young and they decided to let Terrance raise the child."

She was raised with her grandparents and had many whom loved her around her.

After much research it seems that Terrance was not the father but his brother. John G. Carey, who's wife died very young. John later remarried but she is not showning on the census but living with her grandparents.
