| Theodore and Abbie Barthold had two son. One die
when he was young. Homer known as Bart was a music teacher and band director at West Reading High School, prior to taking a job as a Music instuctor at East Stroudsburg State College. His son divorce and his wife lived in Drexel Hill, Pa. He was known as "Dixieland Claninetist" Homer and his buddy would get together every year and have a music jam, they would play Jazz. They would go around and play in several bars. It was a way to get the old music buddy back together. This ended up being called the Jazz festival and is still going today in Reading. |
