Michael Sweeney and Sarah Devitt came over on the same ship. Sarah came over with her brother. Immigration shows 1840 , 1846 no ship has been found yet.

It shows on Sarah's obituary in 1906

She was the mother of ten children, four of whom, James, William, John and Mary are dead. She is mourned by four daughters and two sons: Susan, Sarah, and Lizzie, of Big Mine Run; Mrs. Annie Mack, of Washington, D.C.; Patrick H., of Girardville, and M. J., of New York. In addition she leaves 18 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

We do not have James death date yet, nor Mary, but we are showing John pasted about Mar 1970 and his brother died in Dec 1887.

It is showing 21 Grandchildren and at time of Sarah's death there were only 18 living. We do not have all the death of the Grandkids at this time. This means three died before 1906 Her granson, son of Patrick, James Sweeney had two son's living at time of her death . Carter Sweeney born 1900 and Elwood Sweeney born 1903. Her grandson , son of Patrick, Michael Sweeney, had Hazel born 1900, Mary A. born 1902, and Anna born 1906. That only makes five ..so one is missing at this time.
