| Ella A. Carey, 103, of 329 W.
Preston Ave., Girardville, died Friday at Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center,
Pottsville. Born in William Penn, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Hanna Dean Carey. She was a graduate of St. Ignatius School, Centralia, and attended McCann School of Business. She worked as a secretary for the Propagation of the Faith, Diocese of Allentown, and also worked for St. Joseph Church, Girardville, for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Church and Catholic Daughters of America, Court of St. Cecilia, Girardville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Smith, Margaret Carey and Catherine Carey. Surviving are a niece, Frances Green; four nephews, Michael, William, John and Bob Smith. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday from Robert M. McDonald Funeral Home, Girardville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Church by the Rev. Francis Gillespie. Interment will be in Holy Rosary Church Cemetery, Frackville
