Micheal Carey, an old and esteemed resident of Lost Creek died at his home there Thursday at 11 o'clock a. m. after a week's illiniss. Mr Carey was faithful member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic church congregation and had worked at the Hammond colliery until ten days ago. It was a consolation to him that all his sons and daughters born to himself and his wife were gathered with her at his bed side during his last illness. Besides his wife he is survived by five daughters, Misses Bridget, Mary, and Annie at home. Kate wife of Micheal Hanley, of Wm Penn, and Nellie married and resident of Philiadephia, and five sons, John, William and Edward of Lost Creek, Micheal of Wm. Penn, Anthony of Girardville. A sister Mrs McAndrew, of Lost Creek, and 35 grandchildren also survive. The funeral will take place Monday morning.
