| Alice D. McLaughlin Fidorowicz,
81, of Brookhaven, died Wednesday at Crozer Chester Medical Center, Upland. Born in Beaverbrook, she was raised in Girardville, and was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Girardville. She lived in Brookhaven since 1962. She worked as a waitress at the lunch counter of the Brookhaven Drug Center and also as a crossing guard. She was a cook at Our Lady of Charity Convent, and a cafeteria worker at St. James, both of Brookhaven. She was a member of Our Lady of Charity Church, Brookhaven. Preceding her in death was her husband, Stanley J., in 1999. Surviving are two sons, James Gownley, Brookhaven, and Joseph McLaughlin, Lakehurst, N.J.; two daughters, Alicia Fidorowicz, Brookhaven, and Jacqueline Bolejack, Cary, N.C.; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in Our Lady of Charity Church. Interment will follow in SSPP, Marple Township, Delaware County. Bateman Funeral Home, Brookhaven, is in charge of arrangements. |
