Gownley, 91, of 367 W. Main St., Girardville, who died Friday at Good Samaritan Regional
Medical Center, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from Robert M. McDonald Funeral Home,
Girardville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church,
Girardville, by the Rev. Gregory Karpyn. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery,
Fountain Springs. Born in Girardville, she was a daughter of the late Lawrence A. and Mary A. Hanney Finn. She was a member of St. Joseph Church, Girardville Senior Citizens, Frackville Elks Lodge 1533 Auxiliary, RSVP, charter member and former officer of Catholic Daughters of the Americas, Court St. Cecilia 1529 and assisted at Rangers Red Cross Bloodmobile for 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Michael F., in 1988; two brothers, Lawrence Finn and William Leo Finn, in 1970; a sister, Mary A. Delago, in 2002. Surviving are a daughter, Mary A. Ferrari, Girardville; two sons, Michael L., Big Mine Run, and William "Patrick," at home; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren Regina A.
