Mrs. John McGurl, of 1124 Brock St., Ashland, died Friday evening in Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. A native of Lost Creek, she was the former Eleanor Carey, daughter of the late John and Agnes (Brown) Carey. Mrs. McGurl was a member of St Joseph˘s Church and CDA, Ashland. Her step mother , the former Clara (Haley) Carey, preceded her in death. Surviving in addition to her husband are two sisters, Rita, wife of Terrence Burns, of Girardville; Agnes, wife of Albert Easitis, of Bridgeport, Conn.; also several nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday morning from McDonald Funeral Home, Girardville. Mass in St Joseph˘s Church, Ashland, with interment in St Joseph˘s Cemetery, Fountain Springs. |
