Sarah L. Mengel, 88, formerly of 105 Bernville Road, Bern Township, died Tuesday night at 8:45 in the Hassler Home, Cumru Thownship, where she had resided since September 1982. She was the widow of Samual R. Mengel, who died in 1960. Born in Centre Township, she was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Mary (Reber ) Blatt. She had been a self-employed seamstress until her retirement. She was a member of Salem (Belleman's) United Church of Christ, Hohrsville R.D. 1. Surviving are a daughter, Earletta E., wife of Edward W. Weaver, with whom she last resided, and a stepson James M. Mengel, West Reading. A stepdaughter, Mabel, widow of Arthur Anspach, Wyomissing Hills, and three stepgrandchildren and nine stepgreat-grandchildren. Also four stepgreat-great-grandchilldren. The Milkins Funeral Home Inc. , Temple, is in charge of the arrangements. |
