| Barbara C. O'Boyle, 85, a former
resident of Lost Creek, died Saturday in Shenandoah. Born in Lost Creek, she was a daughter of the late Martin and Catherine Carey Coyle. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, Girardville. She worked as a licensed practical nurse at the former Ashland State General Hospital, Fountain Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, in 1976; four brothers, Martin, Andrew, John and Joseph Coyle; three sisters, Ann Jones, Margaret Coyle and Mary Hancock. Surviving are three sons, Joseph, Mahanoy City, James "Shine," Shenandoah, and Terrance "Terry," Girardville; a daughter, Barbara O'Boyle, Shenandoah; a sister, Catherine "Kitty" Scheele, Girardville; 17 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Annunciation BVM Roman Catholic Church, Shenandoah, by the Rev. Richard Brensinger. Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family. William F. McDonald Jr. Funeral Home, Girardville, is in charge of arrangements |
